Collaboration project with Gal Kapon

The Marine life gallery is located on the remains of the sea fort of old Acre. positioned on the junction between the historical and the modern parts of the city. The special location of the project plays a major role in the concept, as the building is stationed on a 360 panorama view of the sea and the historical city. In order to utilize this feature we chose to create a loop that starts at the entrance of the site and ends as a terrace rising above the fort.

The loop creates a flowing, continuous touring experience around an inner patio. allowing the visitors to experience the exhibitions in a linear flowing form, while also peeking into the view of the surroundings.

The building combines new materials with traditional techniques, through the use of curtain walls and Mashrabiya to create suitable climate adjustments and a unique facade.
